Mac and Bill scoop 2-4-2 win at Winkle

WINKLESPRUIT Bowling Club’s monthly men’s nominated 2-4-2 was well supported on Thursday, 22 January.
Second session winners were Les John and Ken Baker from Toti Bowling Club. The overall winners were Mac Mackrory and Bill Hobbs from Winklespruit Bowling Club.
Herbert Hofman won the 100 board draw.
Social Bowls on Friday, 23 January, was ended off with a wonderful dinner prepared by Clasina and John Powel which was enjoyed by all. The wheel of fortune was won by Mac Appleby and Dries Snyman walked away with the attendance draw. On Sunday, 25 January, the monthly mixed trips was played. The second session winners were Sue Welch, Jeanette Els and Brian Cox. Overall winners were Isabel Milne, Brian Bodley and Dries Snyman. The 100 board draw was won by Steve Evenwel.
Good wins in the Port Natal Novice championships on Saturday, 24 January, sees Harry and Lynette van Vuuren proceed to the next round, to be played at Durban Bowling Club on Saturday, 31January. They will be joined by Dries Snyman who had a bye. We wish them well. On Saturday, 31January, a car boot sale will be held at Winklespruit Bowling Club at 8am.
