Toti AC juniors in the headlines
Hlengiwe Zuma (17) and Storm Alexander (18) finished among the top eight prize winners in the junior category.
AMANZIMTOTI Athletics Club (AAC) juniors showed great form at the annual Durban leg of the Totalsports women’s 10km and 5km road races on Sunday,19 July.
Hlengiwe Zuma (17) and Storm Alexander (18) finished among the top eight prize winners in the junior category, improving their personal best times by over one minute and two minutes respectively.
Kelly Fletcher, Toti’s own SA U23 800m track champion who competes for her university, but is a product of and trains with the club showed her versatility by running her first sub 40min 10km when she finished 16th overall in 39:52. Lisha Van Onselen also finished in a strong position despite only doing the race as a training run.
Lee-anne Blake (14) completed a remarkable hat-trick of wins as the overall winner of the 5km event for the third year in a row. She scored an emphatic victory to win by over three minutes.
