Binghams strike it lucky at WBC

OVERALL winners for the Caltex Warner Beach women’s twinkle trips played at Winklespruit Bowling Club (WBC) on Wednesday, 9 March were Maureen Warrior, Jeanette Clarence and Denise Bingham.

Second session went to Julie Sutherland, Maureen Crawford and Ruth de Canha.

Vera Broskie was the winner of the 100 board. The spider was won by Lulu Bingham.

On Thursday, 10 March, the KwikSpar men’s trips was played and overall winners were Eric Klopper, Keith Berry and Bryan Diener. The second session winners were Ian Crouch, Duncan Wright and Dave Gardner. Steve Evenwel won the 100 board.

On Friday, 11 March, the attendance draw was won by Eddie Bingham.

The Steve Evenwel mixed 2-4-2 was played on Sunday. Overall position was taken by Brian Cox and Cedric Kruger. First session winners were Duncan and Yvonne Wright. Second session was won by Bill and Linda Hobbs. The 100 board was won by Doug Tinker. Most bowls of the day was won by Andre Gelderblom and Norma Raath.

Remember that the Saturday Clearwater Spur 2-4-2 is on Saturday, 19 March.

There will be a Friday evening meal on 18 March. The meal will be a tasty pasta dish and pudding. Put your names on the list on the notice board for catering reasons. All are welcome.

Take note that the starting time for Wednesday and Friday social bowls is 2.15pm for 2.30pm, until further notice.
