Toti AC lauds top Comrades finishers
Well done to all the women who took part in the Durban Spar Women’s 10km challenge.
AMANZIMTOTI Athletics Club had its Comrades prize-giving last Saturday.
Congratulations go to the first male runner home Jabulani Shishani and first woman home Karen Sobrino, who was the 37th woman overall and 12th in her age category.
Well done to both of them on their on excellent results.
The top two runners – Jabulani Shishani and Stoki Dlamini – both received silver medals for their under seven hour performance.Well done.
To all the club’s novices, well done and you can be proud of completing your first Comrades.

16 June: Ntenge Foundation Charity race at Ushaka Marine World 10km run/walk and a 5km run/walk starting at 8am.

The club is planning a spit braai and fun day for members’ children on 16 July in celebration of Mandela Day at the clubhouse. Diarise this date in your calendar.

Note that reflective belts are mandatory for time trials.
Weekly time trials are held on Wednesdays, with the walkers starting at 5.30pm and runners at 6pm (both over 4km and 8km). Visitors are welcome to join. Meet at the clubhouse at Hutchison Park. On Saturdays there is an 11km run and walk from the clubhouse at 5.30am for walkers and 6am for runners. Tea, coffee and biscuits will be served afterwards.
