Social to follow Winkle BC’s mixed trips

The fifth session of the Port Natal men’s league will be played on Saturday afternoon, 27 May.

BRIAN and Trish Farmer were overall winners of the Les John mixed 2-4-2 which was played at Winklespruit Bowling Club on Saturday, 21 May.

Second session was taken by Eddie and Lou Lou Bingham with Mike and Di Kruger being first session winners. Cedric Kruger won the 100 board.

In the first leg of the men’s pairs competition, Eddie Bingham and Dries Snyman beat Bill Hobbs and Cedric Kruger, and John Scott and Tony Fitzsimmons beat Alan Raubenheimer and Les Gibbens.

Bessie Vergottini was the winner of the attendance draw on Friday evening. As she was not present, it will be a carry over.

There was a good turn-out at the Friday evening meal on 19 May. The club extends thanks and appreciation to Trish Farmer for preparing the meal, Wilma Richter for donating the bread rolls and Norma Raath for preparing and sponsoring the pudding. There will be a meal this Friday again, so notify Trish Farmer on 082-483-5875, before Friday if you will be attending, for catering reasons.

The fifth session of the Port Natal men’s league will be played on Saturday afternoon, 27 May. The men’s Winkle A team will play against Chiltern Park A and the men’s B team will play against the Stella Park F team. Support your teams as both men’s teams will be playing at home. The Winkle women’s team will play their first session at Stella Park, against their team. Take note all the games start at 1pm.

The mixed trips competition will be played on Sunday, 28 May at 8.30am for 9am. There will be a bring and braai after the game. Pap and gravy will be supplied. Check the notice board and tick off your names if you are available to play. Contact Brian Farmer if you are unable to play at 083-478-3467.

Social bowls will be played on Wednesday and Friday afternoons, with a 2pm for 2.30pm start.

Prayers and thoughts are with Barry Hilton and Gert Richter who are recovering after an operation. They are wished a speedy recovery.
