Nine-year-old Mpilo Khomo, finished the U9 600m race at a time of 1:45:20. His coach, Jessica Khomo, said she was very happy with the youngster’s performance.
“It was a tough race, but he came out tops. He led the pack at the beginning, but they overtook him towards the halfway mark. He stuck in there and was leading again at the end, winning the race,” said Jessica.

“He was one of the very first members to join the club and his talent was obvious from the beginning. He enjoys training and has been receiving proper guidance and refinement of his technique,” said Jessica.
