Runner completes her 250th Parkrun in Amanzimtoti

Before running her first Parkrun in 2014, Karin Liebenberg completed the Comrades and the Two Oceans Marathon.

KARIN Liebenberg (58) recently reached a significant milestone after completing her 250th Parkrun in Amanzimtoti.
While she had always kept active and had participated in a number of races before, she participated in the inaugural Amanzimtoti Parkrun in August 2014 and never looked back.

She ran her 50th in May 2017 and her 100th in 2018. She has run at 79 locations across South Africa, which is an outstanding feat considering that to become a Parkrun tourist, one has to run in at least 20 different locations. Her personal best time is 28 minutes and 15 seconds, which she clocked at the Umhlanga Parkrun.

Before participating in the Parkruns, she had taken part in one Comrades Marathon and one Two Oceans Marathon.
