Walkers to hit Amanzimtoti streets, here is the route

Walking The Talk Foundation's first 5km charity walk is expected to draw a large crowd this weekend, with around 400 or more participants.

THE Walking The Talk Foundation’s first annual 5km charity walk takes place in Amanzimtoti this Saturday (March 15) from 08:00, and motorists are asked to be on the lookout for the around 400 participants who will be on the road.

The aim of the well-supported walk will be to raise funds to build 1,000 classrooms in deserving schools. The South Coast SUN is a media partner of the event and will have a water table along the route.

The route:

* From the Amanzimtoti Civic Centre, follow Hutchison Road and turn right into Riverside Road
* After 250m, turn left into Entombeni Drive
* After 1.6km, turn left into Wanda Cele Road
* Follow Wanda Cele Road for 2.2km and along the way it changes to School Road
* Turn left into Reed Road for 950m and it changes to Riverside Road along the way
* Turn right into Hutchison Road and take a left into the Civic Centre.
