Mini cricket coaching masterclass for Folweni teacher
A dedicated teacher earned her flowers on the field as she was recently awarded the "Coach of the Year" prize for her efforts in mini cricket.
NURTURING the next generation, be it future leaders or cricket superstars, teacher and mini cricket coach Thobekile Mkhize does it all and more. She was recently named KFC Mini Cricket Coach of the Year.

Mkhize is a teacher at Dlambula Primary School, and when she is not teaching, she volunteers as a mini cricket coach and co-ordinator for KFC Mini Cricket’s Durban South region.

“In my younger years, I did not have the opportunity to develop in any sporting code, so I vowed that I will help develop and nurture young children to help them reach their potential in cricket,” said Mkhize.
She has been at it for over a decade and hopes to continue nurturing cricketing talent.
