Netball tournament in Umgababa unites players

The Pens Down Netball Tournament was established in 2022 and it allows young players to say goodbye to each other before the festive season starts.

A NETBALL tournament was held in Umgababa on November 22 to bring girls together one last time before they head off to different destinations for the December holidays. The tournament featured the U11, U13, and U17 categories.

“Everything went according to plan, and many prizes were won. It’s nice to see children participating in sporting codes they love,” said MaNzolo.

Boys also participated in soccer games at a nearby field, with local U13 teams getting a chance to engage in some friendly competition.

Results
Netball:

• U11 – Dreamers Netball Club
• U13 – Movers Netball Club
• U17 – Vultures Netball Club

Soccer:
• Target FC 3 – 1 Inkanyezi FC.
