Amanzimtoti Rugby Club gears up for youth’s season

The club welcomed the new leadership and expressed confidence in their ability to grow the game at the grassroots level.

AMANZIMTOTI Rugby Club has kicked off preparations for the 2026 season with renewed energy and a strong focus on youth development.

The club’s dedicated coaching staff, now officially Level 1 certified, are eager to pass on their knowledge, skills and passion for the game to young rugby players in Amanzimtoti.

Momentum continued at the recent youth rugby AGM where a new executive committee was elected to steer the youth structures into the 2026 season. The club welcomed the new leadership and expressed confidence in their ability to grow the game at the grassroots level.

“We congratulate them and wish them all the best in leading our youth rugby for 2026,” the club said in a statement.

The newly elected Amanzimtoti youth rugby executive committee for 2026:

• Dirk Smit (chairperson)
• Ruan Koekemoer (vice-chairperson)
• Adrie Lamprecht (treasurer)
• Shanè Koekemoer (administrator)
• Cindy Kruger (secretary)
