Khanya Hospice seeks sponsorship for golf day
Khanya Hospice is on the lookout for sponsors for its golf day fundraiser. All proceeds will go to reopen its in-patient unit.
KHANYA Hospice, a non-profit organisation (NPO) that specialises in providing free, home-based palliative care, is hosting a golf day to raise funds to continue serving the community.

The NPO has served the community with compassion and dignity since 1985 and currently provides care to over 110 patients across a 100km radius across the South Coast. It achieves this through donations and money earned from its two hospice shops.
Manager Victor Hariram explained that the focus is now on reopening its Khanya Hospice in-patient unit, which due to financial constraints closed almost 20 years ago.
“This facility is urgently needed to provide 24-hour care for patients in their final stage of illness,” said Hariram.

The fundraising event will take place on July 5 at Umdoni Park Golf Course, where tee off will commence at 11:00. The NPO invites companies and individuals to make a sponsorship. Those who wish to support the initiative can do the following:
• Register a 4 ball.
• Sponsor its greens and tees.
• Sponsor free accommodation vouchers and gifts to be used as prizes.

“Your partnership will not only help us build the in-patient unit, but also demonstrate your company’s commitment to corporate social responsibility and community upliftment,” said Hariram.
Khanya Hospice is fully tax compliant and all donations qualify for tax deduction with the South African Revenue Services. On behalf of the NPO, Hariram expressed gratitude to all who assist the organisation in achieving its goals and serving the community.
