Mini hockey fun at Amanzimtoti Primary

It was a splendid day at Amanzimtoti Primary School as it hosted several local school hockey teams for a fun-filled sporty day.

THE fields at Amanzimtoti Primary School were filled with young athletes for a mini hockey tournament on May 9.

Joining the hosts were Kuswag Skool, Umkomaas, Our Lady of Natal, Scottburgh, Warner Beach Preparatory and Athlone Park Primary schools.

Amanzimtoti Primary School extended thanks to the schools, players, coaches and supporters who joined for a morning chock full of fun, teamwork and great hockey.

“It was wonderful to see our young players enjoying the game and showing such enthusiasm on the field,” the school said on its Facebook.

Harper Webster’s bright, cheerly smile was one of many on the day.

Players of the day

• Grade 1 boys: Nkazimulo Dladla and Alondwe Mdandalaza.

• Grade 1 girls: Boitumelo Masimong and Lintle Pakkies.

• Grade 2 boys: Declan Fouche and Mepho Bhengu.

• Grade 2 girls: Keren Bagley and Hannah Davis.

• Grade 3 boys: Mcebo Mlaba and Shaylan Gounden.

• Grade 3 girls: Chloe Ramdeo and Arielle Coetzee.
