DIFFERENT stakeholders including The Pink Ladies gathered at Aloe Ridge Primary School in Walkerville to help profile the learners on November 8.
With the increase in violence against children, kidnapping and other crimes involving children, Melody van Aardt from community policing in the area said it is important to have as much information about the learners as possible.
“Ward 7 committee members and The Pink Ladies and Community Police under the auspices of Victim Empowerment came together to ensure that all the learners at the school are profiled. This is in case of emergency or any eventuality. Each learner will be profiled by taking his or her photo, finger and palm prints and also DNA sample where a nail and hair will be taken,” explained Melody.”
