Is it a mistake or a choice?

You have the right to be alive.

“THE ILLITERATE of the 21st century will not be those who cannot read and write, but those who cannot learn, unlearn and relearn.” Alvin Tossler

I have realised that the mother of progress is awareness. Being aware of your purpose, dreams, strengths, shortcomings and capabilities are key in making your life count. When I deliver my talks or training,

I sometimes ask for someone clever, brave and bold and not scared of being embarrassed and ridiculed to come forward and stand next to me. Out of hundreds or thousands, only one will come, hesitantly though. This does not mean in any way that those who do not stand and come forward are stupid or cowards, but the chatterbox in their heads gets the better of them, it starts reminding them what they have been told including that they are stupid, cowardly and that they will never amount to anything. So they go through life being driven by other people’s opinions of them.

This exercise shows what you have learned and made to believe about yourself. Now it’s time to unlearn the negative stuff you have been taught as it does not help you in any way to maximise your potential. Low self-esteem is a serious disadvantage because you fail to do even the simplest of things.

The last part of this process is to learn new programming or conditioning that will give you an advantage over your fears. This advantage will be knowing that you are the child of the universe, that you are conceived and born the same way as all others, that you are not in any way inferior than anyone else irrespective of skin colour, education, religion, family background and so on and so forth. You have the right to be alive.
