“The real question is not whether life exists after death. The real question is whether you are alive before death.” – Shree Rajneesh (OSHO)
What does being alive mean to you? Is it just about waking up, having a meal and going to sleep in the evening or is it about becoming the best human being that you can be? That’s the question you should be asking yourself on a regular basis and this will create awareness in your life.
The truth is, we are all going to die. So, our goal should not be to live forever but to create something that will live forever. The question is, what are you busy creating to leave behind as your legacy?
I have put together four questions that I continually use myself to stay awake and excited about life’s possibilities.
Here are the questions:
1. What must I do more of? – This is the question you must ask yourself regularly. This is based on what is working well for you and making you more valuable. This is what makes you know more, makes you more skilful and sets you apart from your competitors or colleagues.
2. What must I do less of? – This is about what is no longer helping you much which you must reduce. This is something that worked well for you in the past but is losing its significance now.
3. What must I eliminate? – This is something that has lost relevance in your life and no longer adding any value and is wasting your precious time. Look around and you will see it.
4. What must I introduce in my life? – This is a new system, skill-set to develop, friends that will add more value, associates, habits and rituals.
