“If you can’t figure out your purpose, figure out your passion. For your passion will lead you right into your purpose.” – T.D Jakes.
If you really take the time to figure out what your passion is and let it become your purpose, one day it will become your profession. This simply means that finding your passion will lead you to find work that inspires you and satisfies you. All of us have a passion for something, you just need to observe more in your life and take stock of where most of your time goes and what lights you up when you do it.
Leaders and parents today, more than ever before, have to win people’s co-operation. There are two main ways of doing so; motivation and inspiration. Although the two words are often used interchangeably, they actually mean quite different things – depending on what you want to achieve. Motivation is about moving people to act in a particular way that achieves a specific and immediate goal. Motivation is talking to people to do something they may not necessarily want to do and you may have to offer something they want in return, “What’s in it for me?”
Inspiration, on the other hand, involves changing the way people think and feel about themselves so that they want to take positive actions. It taps into people’s values and desires. Inspiration comes with influence. It seems like every second person these days claims to be able to inspire people because they can communicate well and throw around some motivational and inspirational quotes. It goes much deeper. People who are so good at what they do are inspired people not just merely motivated. So passion and inspiration are blood brothers. When you find your passion, you’ll have found your inspiration and success will have no choice but to follow suit.
