Club president Vic McCReanor said the annual Youth Day Fun Bowls holds a special place in their club’s calendar.

“Every year, we come together on Youth Day not just to enjoy the sport we love, but to celebrate the spirit, energy, and future of our community. It has become a proud tradition at our club to open our gates wide and invite bowlers from all clubs across the region to share the greens with us,” he said.

McCReanor said seeing familiar faces and welcoming new friends from neighboring clubs embodies what lawn bowls is truly about camaraderie, sportsmanship, and community connection.

“Whether you were playing for a prize or just enjoying the fun, your presence made the day a massive success,” he added.

He thanked everyone who joined them on the green, supported the event, and made this year’s Youth Day celebration so memorable.

The event also provided an opportunity for younger participants and first-time bowlers to learn more about the game and interact with seasoned players.

The success of the tournament was made possible through the efforts of organisers, volunteers and members of the Wentworth Bowling Club, who worked together to ensure the smooth running of the event.
