Axe murderer case halted

COURT proceedings came to a halt when the defence advocate of former Blue Bulls and Western Force player, axe murderer accused, Joseph Ntshongwane who resides in Yellowwood Park was not available at the Durban High Court on Monday, 30 September.

Advocate Mjoli allegedly sent an email to presiding judge, Irfaan Khalil. The matter was briefly put on hold while it was verified whether or not an email was sent. After a 50 minute wait, it was confirmed that an email had been sent to Judge Khalil on Monday, 30 September. Advocate Mjoli had overlapping duties as he was required to preside over a case in the Pietermaritzburg High Court. The case continues on Tuesday, 1 October.

Ntshongwane is accused of killing four men whom he accuses of raping his daughter and the attempted murder of another two men who escaped a potentially brutal slaughter. He has been charged with four counts of murder, two counts of attempted murder, one count of assault with intent to do grievous bodily harm, a count of rape and one count of kidnapping.
