Grosvenor annual major production is for the dogs
Grosvenor Boys and Girls High Schools bring Snoopy to life for the annual major production.
IT’S a Dog’s Life for the Grosvenor Boys and Girls High annual major production, as they bring Snoopy to life on stage.
This year’s play is based on the adventures of Snoopy from the Charlie Brown comics and is directed by Dee Stead, mother of well-known director, Steven Stead. Dee, who is a teacher at Grosvenor Boys High School and has been involved in theatre since she was young, described the production as a “bright, lively musical for all to enjoy.”
The dedicated cast of eight began rehearsals at the end of January and meet three days a week to hone their performance. The curtains remain open throughout the production, while the actors move brightly coloured blocks around the stage to create new scenes.
The show runs from Wednesday to Friday, 21 to 23 May. Tickets cost R45 per person for the first 10 rows of seats and R35 per person for the rest. Call the school on 031-466-3241 for information.
