Tardy Conlon causes carryover at Woodlands BC
Happy birthdays to John 'No Bias' Campbell on Friday and George Moore on 13 May, who turned 71.

THE Oscar Sparks Tournament scheduled for next weekend at Woodlands Bowling Club has been cancelled.
All the numerous sponsors will be personally contacted by Dave and Rosa to explain the reasons for the cancellation and the ungratefulness of the president. Derek Botha, Lesley Morrison and Sandra Cox picked the correct numbers for Friday night’s meat draw. Paul Conlon’s membership number was drawn at 6pm for the snowball, only for him to walk into the club a few minutes later to find out he had created a carryover.
Peter Jenkins had first choice in the Saturday swindle, with the other winners being Lofty Roets, Sandra Cox times two, Trevor Du Plessis, Cobus van Vuuren, Dave Leuchars, Alan Bower and Derek Botha. George Moore won the R150 national lotto bonus number draw with 24.
Happy birthdays to John ‘No Bias’ Campbell on Friday and George Moore on 13 May, who turned 71. In George’s honour daughter, Sandra and husband Andy Cox sponsored the live music by Craig on Friday and turned an otherwise normal night into a festive occasion. Craig, being a musician of note, involved the audience in sing-a-longs and really made the night for everyone. Gerg Chubbydale Berry really got into the mood of things and sang the loudest after proclaiming that he is now an ‘ex-jollaholic’ and now a confirmed workaholic.
