Bushlands members go globe trotting
The raffle prizes were won by H Caldwell and N Brown.

THE September meeting of Bushlands Women’s Institute was opened by president, Nora Brown who welcomed all, including Margarett Everett who was doing the judging.
Unfortunately, Marie Brown was convalescing from an operation, as was Yvonne Lane. Kay Mckee was unable to attend as her husband was poorly, and Linda Bootes was attending a Grannies Day. Best wishes were sent to them all. The Mary Stewart Collect was recited.
During the round-robin Nora announced she was travelling to the island of Bali the following Wednesday for her grandson’s wedding and Hazel Caldwell was travelling to America until the beginning of December to visit her family there. Yvonne Munro was also going to Gauteng on 5 September for the wedding of her niece. Two of the travellers will no doubt have lots to report at the next meeting, and they were wished a safe journey and happy holiday.
Birthday girls for September are Marie Brown (12th), Lyn Rudolph (16th), and Hazel Caldwell (18th) and were wished a happy day, and called up to choose a gift. The raffle prizes were won by H Caldwell and N Brown.
Angela Croucamp gave a talk on preparation of a bag for decoupage which she would be demonstrating at the next meeting and all were encouraged to enter.
