Bokka and team win chicken run prize

Kurt Spack was so lucky he won the pork and beef raffles, enjoy cooking Kurt.

WENTWORTH Bowling Club had a quiet week with the following results:

Results for the family and friends fun bowls played on Wednesday, 14 January: Bokka van der Westhuizen and Bernadette Pool took the first prize and the sportsman prize went to Terry Micholson and Johan Nel.

The 60/40 board was won by no other than lucky woman Ina Davies and Frank Greyvenstein.

Results for the Bluff Meats men’s pensioners competition played on Friday, 16 January: First prize went to Ken Koch, Colin Nicholas and Kurt Spack with +17 and the second prize was taken by Dorro Dorrofield, Joe McNamarra and Ivor Alward with +13.

Colin Howes, Brian Smith and Deon Els took the sportsman’s prize. The first 60/40 board was won by Robin De Gouveia and Steve Enwell and the second board went to Tomcat Cavanagh and Ellen Loots. Kurt Spack was so lucky he won the pork and beef raffles, enjoy cooking Kurt. Breandan Davies is enjoying the whisky.

Chicken run played on Friday, 18 January: First prize went to Bokka van der Westhuizen and David Carroll and the second prize was taken by Eileen du Plessis and Robin De Gouveia. The ‘eggcelent’ sportsman’s prize was won by Cora van der Westhuizen and Ron Addinoll. The 60/40 board was won by Ron Addinoll and Eileen du Plessis and Ron Addinoll is cooking the beef.

Condolences to family and friends of Lofty who died, our thoughts and prayers are with them.

Events for the next week:

Wednesday, 21 January, family and friends fun bowls at 3pm, all welcome.

Friday, 23 January, Bluff Meats men’s pensioners bowls at 9am.

Saturday, 24 January, casual bowls in whites at 2pm.

Sunday, 25 January, chicken run in whites at 9am.

The kitchen is open daily from Tuesdays until Sundays from 8am till 6pm. Breakfast, bar lunches and Sunday lunches are served. Call Ina Davies on 082-768-4644. Big screen TV for all sports fanatics.
