WITH drug-resistant TB on the rise, Wentworth Gateway Clinic’s Sister Renette Roskruge urged Wentworth residents to get tested at a workshop earlier this month.
The workshop, with the Wentworth Early Childhood Development Forum (WECDF), aimed at increasing awareness of the illness and Sister Roskruge spoke about her concerns on the number of patients defaulting on their medication.
According to WECDF member, Romany Roberts, local ECD practitioners said they would like to make a difference and will be tested for TB. Roberts encourages all organisations, schools and companies to promote TB awareness.
