CLAIRWOOD Hospital remembered the sacrifices of the previous generation and spoke of the privileges of the current through a Youth Day celebration on Tuesday, 16 June.
“Clairwood Hospital celebrated Youth Day by reminding the youth of today to appreciate all the privileges they currently enjoy. They were also reminded to be robust on issues affecting their lives,” said public relations officer, Mbuso Khuboni.
Hospital staff provided the youngsters with a day of entertainment and dressed up as the pupils in school uniforms.
Hospital CEO, Njabulo Gwala told the gathering about the importance of never losing sight of the happenings of 1976 and told the youths to not only celebrate but also commemorate Youth Day, to remember the many lives lost during the uprising.
