Sizakala reaches out to ratepayers

To educate the community on its function.

THE South Durban Basin (SDB) Sizakala Centre hosted an outreach programme at Oxford on Thursday, 25 June in order to educate the community on its function.

The information dissemination programme aimed at promoting the Sizakala Centre and the municipal services it renders.

Representatives from municipal departments including Durban Solid Waste, electricity, health, home affairs, Ombuds, parks, revenue, transport authority and water and sanitation, along with Metro Police and the South Africa Social Security Agency spoke to residents and gave them vital information.

“The Sizakala customer service centre is essentially a place where residents can go for assistance on any council-related query. We have the responsibility to ensure that the residents have easy and equal access to and receive the best possible service from the council,” said southern region Sizakala customer service supervisor, Senamile Hadebe.
