Mervyn entertains seniors in song
Next month members are reminded to pay R60 for our yearly lunch outing to Lords and Legends on the Bluff.
AT the Montlair Senior Citizens Club meeting last month, Roy Govender from the Montclair Methodist Church took devotions and highlighted to members the importance of being positive and not to be overcome by all the negativity around.
The club welcomed some new visitors and members hope they and more pensioners residing in the area will come along and join in the club’s birthday celebration on Thursday, 13 April at the Montclair Methodist Church.
Every month the club tries to have either an entertainer or speaker. Last month they were entertained by the talented Mervyn Reid and friends with songs ‘You raise me up’, ‘Climb every mountain’ and ‘I’ll walk with God’.
The club’s annual fees are R35 per annum and R5 per month for tea and cake. Raffles held are optional.
Next month members are reminded to pay R60 for the annual lunch outing to Lords and Legends on the Bluff. If you do not have transport, the club will arrange transport. Membership fees must be paid in full to qualify to attend the lunch outing. There are a variety of items on the menu from which to choose.
The seniors club looks forward to seeing everyone on Thursday for some more fun and friendship.
