Traffic lights for Tara Road

What do you think?

TRAFFIC lights are being erected on the infamous stretch of Tara Road on the Bluff.

Where Zinto Cele (formerly Bideford) Road meets Tara, a set of traffic lights are currently being installed.

The high flow of traffic in the area due to people going to nearby shopping malls, flea markets and Grosvenor Girls High School up the hill means during the day there is a high flow of traffic, often causing delays.

At night, this notorious section has become popular with speedsters and drag racers because of the long straights with few impediments.

What do you think – Will these traffic lights help with traffic flow? Will they have any impact on speedsters? Where else are traffic lights needed on the Bluff?
