Concerns billow as smoke plumes fill Durban South air
Unconfirmed reports say tyres are being burned.
WITH memories of #DurbanFire still fresh, a massive plume of smoke is causing much concern and consternation in the south this evening (Monday, 29 May).
Motorists were greeted by thick, black smoke that was drifting towards Yellowwood Park and could be seen as far away as Amanzimtoti and the Bluff at about 4pm.
Though unconfirmed, Facebook posts say the smoke comes from tyres being burned in a field near Albert Luthuli Hospital.
