This is according to ward 64 Councillor Gavin Hegter who posted an appeal for aid on their behalf on social media.
After losing their mother to illness in June last year, they have been working hard at improving their lives. “Nosihle has a part-time job while studying to become a teacher and supporting her younger sister, who has just matriculated with a distinction.”
The sisters have lost everything and have no way of rebuilding their home. “Although I have arranged emergency relief from Ethekwini disaster management, these women need our help,” said Hegter.
Any donations of clothing or shoes would be appreciated. They both wear size seven shoes and their clothing sizes are a 32 and 40 in pants and medium and XXL in tops.
Anyone who can offer help should contact their neighbour, Mrs Zulu on 083-515-6579 or for further details, Gavin Hegter on 072-821-1917.
