Men’s Port Natal singles get underway at Durban Wanderers

Durban Wanderers will host rounds one, two and three on Saturday, 5 October

This coming weekend sees the start of the men’s Port Natal singles take place at Durban Wanderers Club.

Durban Wanderers will host rounds one, two and three on Saturday, 5 October, at 9am. It is with great sadness that they report that a fellow bowler and past club mate, Frank Wilkinson, passed away over the weekend. The club extends its condolences to Maureen and the family.

Friday’s various meat pack winners were:

  • lamb pack – Derek Rowsell,
  • beef – Rally Ready,
  • pork roast – Cliffy Waldek,
  • beef roast – Des Demmer,
  • chicken pack – Richard Hendicott,
  • chicken – Richard Hendicott.

The R800 snowball was not won as Geoff Atkins was not present. The Friday Lotto sitting at R1 600 was a carry over as no one guessed the correct three numbers drawn.

The Sunday, 29 September, eisbein special was a great success and well supported. Watch the press and social media for further specials.

The club’s function rooms – tavern, upstairs and downstairs are now fully renovated and available for hire. The two squash courts also have some unallocated time slots for members and non-members. Contact the club on 031-462-2320 or pop-in for further enquiries.
