Eyewitnesses sought to serious accident in Wentworth

Eyewitnesses are urged to come forward to aid in the investigation.

DETECTIVES at Wentworth police station are investigating a case of culpable homicide, after two vehicles, a Nissan Langley and a grey Renault Stepway, were involved in a serious collision on December 9, 2021 at about 22:30.

The collision occurred at the intersection of Tara Road and Quality Street traffic lights in Wentworth.

“A woman who was traveling in the Renault Stepway died and two other passengers were unhurt,” said the police station’s spokesperson, Captain Mbuso Gumede.

The detective investigating the case, Warrant officer Janine Thompson, appeals to any witness to assists with information.
