Montwood CPF sub-forum elections to be held

Residents are encouraged to participate in the process and nominate members of the local community or themselves.

THE MONTWOOD Sector 3 community policing sub-forum will host an electoral process for key positions within the forum at the Montclair Recreation Hall on Tuesday, August 23, at 18:30.

Montclair SAPS communications officer, Captain Derek Vijiam, said positions open for nomination include chairperson, deputy chairperson, secretary, deputy secretary, treasurer, public relations officer and three community members.

“The sub-forum is comprised of religious leaders, businesses, non-governmental organisations, youth and residents from the community. Nominations will take place from the floor of those present. Nominees must be present on the day of the elections. Residents are encouraged to participate in the process and nominate members of the local community or themselves. Through selfless volunteer efforts, we can build a strong, active, vibrant and successful sub-forum to participate in the prevention of crime together with the Montclair SAPS,” said Vijiam.
