Sharin Rajman, the chairperson of DSSC, shared her enthusiasm for the event’s success. “We provided the tables and chairs while each team brought their own props, tablecloths and decorations to set up their tables. There was a cook-off, a best table competition, a best spring hat competition and a Mrs Spring competition. The atmosphere was so enjoyable and truly took our seniors back to their youthful days,” she remarked.

Attendees embraced the spring theme wholeheartedly, dressing in floral outfits and stylish hats, showcasing the essence of the season.

The gardens were transformed into a colourful display of creativity and meticulous planning as each team showcased their unique table settings and spreads.

A wide array of homemade dishes prepared by the seniors added to the festive mood of the gathering. “It was wonderful to see the seniors put so much effort into preparing their meals. The variety was impressive, and the event was a resounding success,” Rajman added.

A panel of judges had the challenging task of selecting winners from the numerous outstanding entries. The picnic not only celebrated the creativity and enthusiasm of the participants but also provided a fantastic opportunity for the community to come together and enjoy the day.
