Hocus Pocus Help calls on the community to spread festive cheer

Hocus Pocus Help is encouraging the community to get involved with their Christmas hamper programme and help those in need.

AS the Season of Giving approaches, Hocus Pocus Help is calling on the community to support its annual Christmas Parcel Project.

Merle Henning, the organisation’s liaison officer, has emphasised that the project was a way of bringing happiness and hope to the less fortunate during a time of love and celebration.

“Christmas is a time for giving and sharing. While many of us celebrate with loved ones, exchange gifts and enjoy the holidays, others would be overjoyed by receiving a simple parcel to brighten their festive season,” she said.

Parcel contents:

  • Groceries
  • Toiletries
  • Sweets
  • Toys for children
  • Clothing for those in need

Henning explained that these thoughtful packages were designed to show recipients that someone cared and remembered them during this special time. Volunteers will pack the donated items and personally deliver the parcels to homes in the week leading up to Christmas.

Hocus Pocus Help encourages the community to get involved through donations of items on the parcel list, volunteering time to assemble and deliver parcels, or even just helping spread the word about the initiative.

“No act of kindness is too small. Your support can make a tangible difference in someone’s life this Christmas,” Henning added.

To contribute to the Christmas Parcel Project, drop donations off at the Hocus Pocus Help store at 259 Marine Drive, The Bluff, or contact Merle Henning on 060 986 9403 to arrange collections.
