Here’s where to find festive light displays in Durban South

Take a stroll through some of the festive displays in the Durban South area, while supporting a good cause.

THE holiday season is upon us and residents in Durban South have pulled out all the stops to bring festive cheer into their suburbs. If you’re looking for dazzling Christmas lights and a fun family experience, these decorated homes are a must see.

Gatwick Close (The Bluff)

  • Dates: December 13 – December 24 (weather permitting)
  • Times: 19:00 – 21:00
  • Location: Gatwick Close cul-de-sac, just off Watsonia Road (entrance from Zinto Cele side near Grosvenor Girls High).
  • Entry fee: Any donation of dog or cat food.

All pet food donations will go to Bluff Rescue Kennels, supporting animals in need this festive season.

 

23 Curlew Crescent (Yellowwood Park)

  • Dates: From December 13 (Weather permitting)
  • Times: 19:00 – 23:00.
  • Entry fee: Free.

This is another festive gem of a home, with lights to light up the evening quite late. Visitors are invited to come and enjoy the displays and soak in the festive atmosphere.

47 Junagarth Road (Merebank)

  • Dates: Open on non-rainy evenings.
  • Times: Any time from the evening onwards.
  • Entry fee: Free

The community is inviting families to come and marvel at their twinkling lights and decorations. It’s a perfect stop to keep your festive spirit alive.
