Help Brighton Beach police find missing mother and son

Sindisiwe Nkila and her seven-month-old son, who are residents of Clairwood, have been missing for two weeks.

THE Brighton Beach police are looking for Sindisiwe Nkila (25), and her seven-month-old baby who went missing on January 2. Nkila and her son were last seen at their home in Cherry Road in Clairwood on January 2.

The police said a family member of Nkila left for work on January 2 in the afternoon, leaving her and her son at home in Clairwood.

According to a statement released by the Brighton Beach police, a family member returned home on January 3, only to find that Nkila and her son were not at home.

“The family member had gone looking for them around the neighbourhood, but was not successful in finding them.

“A friend claimed that she had seen Nkila and the child on January 3 on Houghton Road at about 11:00,” the statement read.

Physical appearance:

  • Nkila was wearing a black and white dress and a white headwrap.
  • She has a black complexion, with an afro-style hairstyle brushed back.
  • She is of medium height. Her forehead and back of her head are flat, with a particularly flat nose and large ears.
  • She has a round face with a round chin, a thin upper lip, and thick lower lip. Her brown eyes are set far apart.
