JUST IN: Landslide blocks roads on The Bluff

Residents and motorists are urged to be vigilant as some of the roads on The Bluff and surrounding areas are waterlogged.

A STERN warning has been sent to residents to avoid Foreshore Drive on The Bluff, where a landslide is blocking the road following last night’s heavy rains which destroyed infrastructure.

Some of the roads on The Bluff are reportedly waterlogged, and this has caused a huge inconvenience to the community.

There have been no injuries reported so far, however the authorities are closely monitoring the situation as the mud is blocking the road.

Ward 66 councillor Zoë Solomon said the incident has been reported to the Roads Department to clear the road.

Foreshore Drive on The Bluff is currently inaccessible due to mud blocking the road.

“There are reports of a landslide in Hignett Road too. Solomon Mahlangu is waterlogged, we urge motorists to drive with extreme caution,” said Solomon.
