Impact Academy celebrates 32nd birthday with fun-tastical family day

Impact Academy was filled with cheers, laughter and games at their family fun day to celebrate their 32nd birthday.

IMPACT Academy celebrated its 32nd birthday with a jovial family fun day on April 12 at the school premises. Learners, their families and the Yellowwood Park community at large were in attendance, bringing everyone together for a day of games, laughter and shared school spirit.

Principal Kerry Holland said that around 200 learners and their families attended the celebration. She added they offered tons of entertaining activities including cornhole throw, mini soccer, jumping castles, face painting, Easter egg hunt, sensory play tables, raffles, spot prize giveaways and, of course, the birthday cake cutting. Guests also indulged in a scrumptious spread of food that was on sale.

“It was a day of sharing this milestone achievement with our Impact family and making happy memories together,” Holland said. “It was heartwarming to see everyone come out in support and have a fun day.”

While the day predominantly served as a day of celebration, it also served as a fundraiser to enhance the Edu-care and pre-school structures of the school, like the addition of an astro turf.

Holland shared her immense gratitude to those who assisted in making the day a success. “A huge thank you to our impact family for supporting the day and to the community for joining in on our celebrations. The teachers and staff showcased their love and passion for the learners and school on the day with their involvement in all the activities. It is this passion that drives us to continue striving with all our might, and I believe that this is why we have just been nominated for the Best of Bluff awards,” she said.

The success of their family fun day already has Holland and the school working on organising more exciting events like this.
