Suspected drug distributor arrested on The Bluff
The drug unit, in partnership with Trio Crimes Units, conducted an intelligence-driven operation on The Bluff.
A MAN suspected of being a major distributor of cocaine in the south of Durban was arrested on The Bluff on October 14.
The police sting operation involved the Durban Metro Police Drug Team, working with Trio Crimes and various specialised SAPS units.
According to a Durban Metro police statement, the team approached the targeted premises and arrested the suspect linked to major cocaine distribution.

During the operation, the police recovered:
● 1kg bricks of pure cocaine
● Firearm (Glock 22) with 45 live rounds and three magazines
● Two cellphones
● Empty 40-calibre casings
● A passport and identification documents
According to the statement, the estimated street value of the seized items stands at R1.2m.
The suspect is facing multiple charges, including dealing in and possession of cocaine.

- Durban Metro Police Drug Team (SOD1)
- Durban Metro Police Trio Crimes (SOD1)
- Counter Narcotics KZN CI SAPS
- eThekwini Infrastructure Task Team
- Provincial Organised Crime Unit
- DPCI Port Shepstone (Hawks)
