Help Ward 66 residents with water as taps run dry
The water outage is believed to be due to the reservoir pump’s motor being non-functional.
WARD 66 councillor Zoe Solomon is appealing to residents to donate water as some parts of the area have been affected by a water outage.
According to Solomon, there is no water from Treasure Beach to Bushlands due to the reservoir pump’s motor being non-functional.
She said the lower part of the Fynnlands is also affected due to a burst excavation.
“If you have water in your taps, please consider donating drinking water to my office. There are many households with no water and no immediate intervention on the ground.
“Please don’t report the tapping of water at the beach; we are in a crisis,” she said.
You can drop off or collect water from Solomon’s office at the former boxing club premises on Tara Road.
