New first aid kit for Montclair’s clean team volunteers
The team is encouraging all community members to join in their fight against pollution and illegal dumping.
VOLUNTEERS from the Montclair Clean Team were thankful to have had their efforts recognised by business owners and residents in the area who were appreciative of their mission to clean up Montclair.
Founder of the team, Janine Ferguson, said she felt blessed to be a part of the group of residents who took it upon themselves to create a cleaner environment in their community.
The team was recently provided with a first aid kit with complements from Dr Yesh Govender from the Montclair Animal Hospital, who found that the volunteers would be safer with a travel kit for first aid during their clean-ups.

“Yesh has truly been a stalwart and supporter of this community on so many levels and we send our thanks and appreciation to him for his support. In the true spirit of community, several shop owners and residents have contacted me to see how they can be of assistance to our projects.
“I feel humbled and blessed with the support we have been receiving. Having lived in Montclair for 58 years and watching a community stand up and get their hands dirty while helping to restore our community to its former glory, is amazing,” added Ferguson.
The team is encouraging all community members to join in their fight against pollution and illegal dumping.

“This is our community and we must be proud to keep it neat and clean. All residents are welcomed to join the Montclair Clean Team WhatsApp group, where we update and post all clean-up dates and times, so that they know where to find us and can join us,” Ferguson said.
