Wentworth man nabbed with drugs
The man tried to flee when he spotted police. The officers pursued the man, and managed to apprehend him.

A WENTWORTH man was arrested and charged after he was found in possession of drugs.
Captain Mbuso Gumede, the Wentworth police spokesperson, said members of Wentworth police crime prevention noticed the 22-year-old man standing near a certain house, while patrolling along Woodville Road, recently.
“The officers alighted from their vehicle and as they approached the man, he started to run and then jump over a wall. The officers pursued the man and eventually apprehended him.

“Upon searching him, he was found to be in possession of a clear plastic packet containing drugs and money. He was immediately arrested and charged for dealing in heroin and cocaine. The drugs and an undisclosed amount of money was seized, ” he said.
Colonel Sinayo Mtshali, the Wentworth police station commander, commended the members for effecting the arrest.
