Merebank Clinic honoured with prestigious award
Staff and committee members from the clinic, which is over 60 years old, were proud to have been honoured with the Excellent Compliance and Standards Award.
MEREBANK Clinic was one of 14 health facilities in the eThekwini Municipality to receive an award for outstanding service and health service compliance, recently.
Staff and committee members from the clinic, which is over 60 years old, were proud to have been honoured with the Excellent Compliance and Standards Award.

Clinic committee member, Yusuf Vawda, said the clinic was privileged to have received the award and added that despite challenges on a daily basis, staff and the committee work hard to maintain the best standard of service to the community.
“The clinic is an old building with deteriorating infrastructure and we have a dedicated team of staff and a hands-on sister in charge, who ensure that patients receive the best possible medical care and attention that they require. As a committee, we are very proud to be affiliated with the clinic.

‘We are thankful that we have staff with a strong team spirit as their hard work and passion for serving the community has brought home this award.
“The staff has bravely forged forward despite COVID-19 and the various challenges faced. We encourage residents to join us on our open day on June 8 so that they can actively participate in our programmes,” Vawda said.
