BLUFF Assist, a non-profit company (NPC) formed to lend aid to residents and organisations in need, appeals to the community to join their refurbishment initiative.

In commemoration of Mandela Month, members from Bluff Assist will be painting the staff room at Bushlands Primary School, as well as a few classrooms.

The NPC’s Chantal Bransgrove-Bower said, “We put the plea out to The Bluff community for any sort of assistance in terms of new or used brushes, rollers, paint, and volunteers. We were thrilled with the speedy responses and the Brighton Beach police station’s Victim Support Unit and Community Policing Forum Youth Desk, as well as staff from SUPERSPAR who offered to paint.

“I also received an amazing response from Marshal Tools. Clinton du Preez, the sales and marketing director, agreed to sponsor all the brushes, rollers, sheeting, tape, sanding blocks and everything we would need for the job.

“The thrill of people coming together was heartwarming and I cannot explain how grateful we are to be able to partner to help make a difference, not only to paint these rooms, but to use the equipment for additional projects in the future.

“Now that we have everything we need, we would like to extend an invitation to those who would like to get involved as we need many hands to complete the job.”
