Calling all residents with green thumbs – time to show off your best work and win

The winners in each category will receive prizes, which range from cash and vouchers to garden equipment.

THE Yellowwood Park and Woodhaven Residents’ and Ratepayers’ Association is calling on residents to enter their first Indalo Garden Affair competition.

Ayanda Ndlela, the association’s environmental officer, said the competition, which is open to residents of Yellowwood Park and Woodhaven, is aimed at motivating residents to take pride in their homes and surroundings.

“It is also an opportunity for residents to showcase their work and hopefully inspire others to do the same,” he said.

Ndlela said the three categories include best verge (outside the premises), best garden and best Adopt-A-Spot. He said the top three winners will receive prizes, which range from cash, vouchers, garden equipment and much more.

“We are encouraging residents to send in their entries before the closing date and stand a chance to win some great prizes. We are excited as this is our first competition and hope to continue with it in the future,” he said.
