Elders at the TAFTA John Dunn House benefit from clothing donation

The Widowed and Single Parents (WASP) organisation appeals to the public for support to keep one of their other charitable drives going.

THE Widowed and Single Parents (WASP) organisation recently made a charitable visit to the TAFTA John Dunn House – Home for the Aged, where they generously donated 200 new garments on January 23. Brian Naidoo, co-founder of WASP, mentioned, “We were able to supply women with new blouses, pants and skirts and provide men with new shirts and pants.”

TAFTA CEO Femada Shamam said they were immensely grateful to WASP for their ongoing support and donations toward the home and Primrose Wellness Centre. “We truly appreciate the consideration to assist our elders in meeting their needs and thank WASP for their generous contributions toward our elders’ well-being and the fundraising efforts at the Wellness Centre,” said Shamam.

WASP is also reaching out to the public, urging them to contribute to their bread-drive initiative. WASP is committed to sustaining their continuous efforts to provide loaves of bread to those in need in the Wentworth, Bluff and Merewent communities.

Naidoo shared that their previous bread company donor is unable to contribute as much due to unforeseen circumstances. Highlighting the significant impact of bread donations, Naidoo appeals to the public for support in keeping the bread drive alive.
