Bayview U7 dominate Forest Hill tournament undefeated [Video]

Bayview Football Club’s U7 team played a remarkable match, claiming victory over their opponents.

IN a spirited display of both teamwork and competitive spirit, Bayview’s U7 football team emerged triumphant in the Forest Hills Tournament in Hillcrest on May 1.

Under the guidance of coach Jeremy Oliver, these young athletes showcased impressive prowess on the field, winning not only the championship but also the admiration of all who watched.

The tournament, featuring a total of 14 teams, followed a round-robin format culminating in semi-finals and finals. Despite their tender years, Bayview’s U7 team exuded confidence, navigating the competition with remarkable ease.

Oliver praised Bayview’s flawless performance, with the team winning all six of their group-stage matches and dominating the semi-finals before clinching the championship title in the finals. Their defensive skills were particularly noteworthy as they conceded no goals in the group stage and only two in the final match.

Expressing his pride, Oliver remarked, “I am beyond proud of these children. Over the years, I’ve witnessed their transformation from beginners to advanced players through our Saturday soccer school.”

Bayview FC’s U7 players, Jose Ezra Valayutham, Tylique Bhikhoo and Raul Bussack, form their line of defence.

Looking forward, Oliver revealed ambitious plans for the U7 squad, aiming to continue participating in tournaments to further develop the skills of these young athletes. Additionally, he expressed the team’s active pursuit of sponsorship to facilitate opportunities such as tours and international experiences.
