Wentworth SAPS arrests man for drug possession
The man had a significant quantity of assorted drugs in his possession.
IN a proactive move, Wentworth SAPS successfully apprehended a 60-year-old man found in possession of an array of drugs by the Wentworth flats on January 25.
During their patrol, vispol unit officers noticed a suspicious-looking male carrying a bag on his shoulder. Upon approaching the individual, he attempted to evade the police, initiating a foot pursuit.
The officers managed to apprehend the suspect, and upon searching his bag, discovered a significant quantity of assorted drugs.

According to a statement from Wentworth SAPS, the confiscated substances include three black, plastic wrappings containing powder suspected to be cocaine, eight plastic wrappings believed to be rock cocaine, five green tablets suspected to be ecstasy, and a staggering 130 red-and-white capsules suspected to be heroin.
The arrested suspect made a court appearance at the Wentworth Court on January 26.
