Montclair police warn community of a spike in car theft
The Crime Prevention Unit members held an awareness campaign around Montclair and urged people to be vigilant.
THE Montclair Social Crime Prevention unit held an awareness campaign on January 21 to address the increasing theft of motor vehicles in the area, particularly at local malls.

Sergeant Noma Mnguni from the Montclair Police Station said the police have observed that the vehicles are being stolen from parking lots.
“The community was told about this trend of car theft and was advised to be aware of this crime. Pamphlets with useful information were distributed throughout the community. The police also advised the community to report crime immediately so that it will be easy for the police to investigate,” said Mnguni.
